After moving into his new home with his homosexual fathers, James struggles to find new friends. Combined with tensions in his household, it is difficult for the imaginative and bright-eyed young boy to find comfort in connections, until he discovers the monster living in his closet. As he learns and plays with this monster, his Dads get more and more worried about the wellbeing and sanity of their son. As they reach the breaking point, James stands strong to defend his new best friend.
