Alejandro Montoya Marin was born in Laredo, Texas, and raised in Mexico. In 2018 he was hand-selected by Robert Rodriguez to be part of his documentary show REBEL WITHOUT A CREW, where his movie MONDAY screened at SXSW in 2018. His follow-up, MILLENNIUM BUGS, was crowdfunded and distributed by Indican Pictures. In 2023 he co-starred in Eva Longoria's FLAMIN' HOT and joined the DGA. He's currently working on his fourth feature film.
