A young, unknown artist, Ivan, goes from Moscow to St. Petersburg to audition for a new big film directed by Alexei German Jr. But suddenly, one by one, famous actors board the train, and it turns out that they are going there. This path turns into a test for Ivan and the understanding that he has no chance. Will he be able to outwit them and become the only contender?

Aleksei Alekseivich German Jr. (Алексей Алексеевич Герман, born 4 September 1976) is a Russian film director. He is the son of Russian film director Aleksei Yuryevich German and screenwriter Svetlana Igorevna Karmalita, and a grandson of writer Yuri German. He graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 2001 and went on to work at the Lenfilm film studio.
