Doña Atang, a once celebrated film producer from the earlier years of Filipino cinema, celebrates her one hundredth birthday. For her wish, she wants a reunion with all the actors and staff that she has worked with in the past. She is also looking for an unfinished film from one of her directors. Her grandson Michael decides to take the task of finding them. As he does, we remember the glorious years of cinema from its workers–fragments of a colorful past filled with faded memories.

The show is broadcast internationally through GMA Pinoy TV on January 26, 2011, two days after its original release. The series is a remake for the movie with the same title which starred Cesar Montano and Rita Avila and was remade again in 1993 which starred Gardo Versoza and Rosanna Roces. The show had its finale on March 18, 2011.

Derek Ramsay, Angelica Panganiban and Toni Gonzaga lend their acting to this year's Star Awards Best Drama series. The series was acclaimed by critics for having veteran actors such as Christopher de Leon, Phillip Salvador, Bembol Roco, and Tommy Abuel, whom all are Lino Brocka-regulars.
