Douglas Gregor Barr, born (May 1, 1949), in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA, is an American actor, director, and writer. He is best known for his role as Howie Munson in the popular 1980s television series, "The Fall Guy." Barr's acting career also includes notable roles such as Alex Jagger in the television series "The Wizard," and Sam in the film "Spaced Invaders." Transitioning from acting, Barr has established a prolific career as a director, primarily working on television movies. His extensive directing credits include numerous films for the Hallmark Channel, and television movies such as "Secrets of the Mountain." He has also contributed to the industry as a writer, with several teleplays to his credit. In his personal life, Barr has been married to Clare Kirkconnell since June 9, 1984, and they have one child. Beyond his film industry endeavors, he is also the owner of the 2480 winery located in Napa Valley, California. Barr's contributions to 1980s television and his successful transition to directing have solidified his place in the entertainment industry.
