Even before her graduation from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Amsterdam in 2019, Emma could already be seen acting in various plays by theater companies Het Nationale Theater, International Theater Amsterdam and De Toneelschuur. When she was younger, Emma portrayed one of the leading characters in the youth-television series Het Geheim van Eyck. After she graduated she played parts in Flikken Rotterdam, Zomer in Zeeland and three seasons of the much acclaimed television series Oogappels. She also had an appearance in the second season of Golden Globe winning television series Killing Eve and filmed the shorts Dirty Talks and Split-Up. Emma played the lead in the feature film Tegendraads by Ben Sombogaart which was released in November 2024. She also plays one of the lead characters in the movie Vleesdag which will be released on Amazon Prime later this year. She has her own theatre collective called In Plaats Van Verkering where she writes, produces and performs her own work. Apart from acting, she is a skilled singer and was lastly seen in the music theatre play De Grote Vloed, directed by Liesbeth Coltof.
