Federico "Fede" Álvarez (born February 9, 1978) is a Uruguayan director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for directing "Evil Dead" (2013), "Don't Breathe" (2016), "The Girl in the Spider's Web" (2018) and "Alien: Romulus" (2024). He is the co-founder of film and television production company Bad Hombre.
