An elderly, lonely employee of the Giga Museum, has been saving money all his life. He decided to give the accumulated amount to a family with many children in need, but people had become unaccustomed to noble and selfless actions. With their distrust, they cause undeserved pain to a kind person.
In the hot summer of 1917, the nineteen-year-old peasant Georgy Zakareishvili left his village in search of work and, settling on a French ship, soon found himself in Paris, where he married a Frenchwoman.
