After learning the last will of her son, Clemencia poses as a clairvoyant capable of tracking down and finding hidden treasures. In order to redeem the life of her son, she will have to convince Karime, a desperate and ambitious widow, that there is a treasure buried in her garden, a space that actually hides a dark secret. With the help of Don Felipe, a humble farmer, Clemencia digs hard and with each shovel he gets closer and closer to the sinister truth that ties his life to that of KARIME and Don Felipe: a truth that has been woven by the ruthless hands of organized crime.
It is the story of resilience of a mother and her son, each living with a chronic degenerative disease, and how they reconcile with each other when they accept that their disease has united and transformed them forever.
Ivan Cortes Lucero was born in Mexico City into a middle-class neighborhood. He is a Mexican actor of film, theater and television. At the age of 17 years beginning his studies at the University Center of Theater, UNAM, one of the acting schools most prestigious in Latin America, and then make his debut in the play El Mágico Prodigioso (The Magical Marvellous) written by Calderon. He has worked on various theater companies in México including the National Theatre Company. In his debut film has been highlighted by international critics for her work in Backyard by Carlos Carrera, work for which he was nominated for an Ariel Award in 2010, among other honors. He has studied with Eugenio Barba, Jose Sanchis Sinisterra, Fernando Piernas and some of the best directors from his country.
