Joaquin Prudente, also known as HUWAKIN, is a 22-year old visual artist and aspiring actor from the Philippines. He made his film debut with the surreal indie-comedy film PLANT BOY (2021), as its lead actor, director, writer, and editor. This was followed by the indie horror-dark comedy production MANANG (2022), which he also wrote and directed. He is best known for playing the main character in Filipino writer-director Ryan Capili's I was walking on the streets of chinatown (2024), which was officially selected as a short film finalist in Cinemalaya's 20th anniversary that year, marking his first ever film festival and Cinemalaya film debut.
