Kanako was born and raised in Japan and has lived in the UK since 1997. She has been working as an actress / singer / dancer on the West End and has toured across the UK and Japon. Kanako has provided voice over and dubbing in Japanese for Netflix, narration for the episode of Malta in ‘TOUGENKIKOU’ for NHK in Japan. She also recorded the Japanese singing voice for ‘The Great Wave’ at Dorfman Theatre for ‘MISS SAIGON’ on the West End. Recently Kanako recorded singing for a cast album of the musical “Tokyo Rose” in 2021 and she is part of the original cast of “My Neighbour Totoro” at Barbican playing Tsukiko/covering singer in 2022-2023. And she performed Tamate in “Pacific Overtures” at Menier Chocolate Factory in 2023-2024, and she just finished playing Judy Turner in the UK tour of “A Chorus Line”.
