Northern Quality tells the story of three generations of farmers. Each of them experience different kind of problems, but all of them are linked to some kind of structural change. They seek a solution to their problems by cultivating a more productive crop in their fields: cannabis. This experiment leads to significant problems with international criminals, municipal officials and even the local police officer.
Jaana is a restaurant owner and mother of two, who spends her free time riding. Jaana lives with her charismatic, but short-tempered partner Marko. Jaana's life changes in a flash when she becomes paralyzed in a serious accident.
Konsta Hietanen is a Finnish actor, musician and former association football player. He is best known for his role in Tommy and the Wildcat (1998). Hietanen first rose to popularity in 1994 when he won the popular Tenavatähti children's singing competition. As a teenager, he refused many of the proposed film roles because he wanted to focus on football. After finishing his football career he has returned to music.
