Professional Stunt Performer, Martial Artist & Dancer. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario with a Japanese and Afghan descent, Laiko started training in martial arts at the age of 3 years old. Throughout her childhood, she was placed in many other different physical sports such as gymnastics. She was also placed in acting classes around the same time. At the age of 7, Laiko picked up dance and found a passion for it. She started competitive dancing the year after and throughout her years of dancing, Laiko received numerous awards and accomplishments. At the age of 17, Laiko fully devoted herself to martial arts and the competitive side of Taekwondo. That same year, she was able to work her way up to having a spot on the Team Canada roster. After many years of physically intensive sports such as dancing and martial arts, Laiko was inspired by her father to pick up work in the entertainment industry as a stunt performer. She discovered that she was very capable of pursuing this as her career.
