Biography

María Fernanda Yepes Alzate, born on December 23, 1980, in Medellín, Colombia, is an actress and model renowned for her versatility and talent in the entertainment industry. She began her career as a model at the age of 14, participating in both national and international campaigns, including the popular swimwear brand "Agua Bendita," which was featured in the Sports Illustrated editions of 2007, 2008, and 2009. In pursuit of a well-rounded education, she studied psychology and social communication at the Pontifical Bolivarian University, later enrolling in acting school at Caracol Televisión. Her passion for the arts led her to study theater in Barcelona, Spain, and to improve her English in Australia. Her acting debut came in the telenovela La Diva in 2006, but she gained international fame for her role as Yésica Franco "La Diabla" in Sin senos no hay paraíso (2008–2009). In 2010, she starred in Rosario Tijeras, a performance that earned her the India Catalina Award for Best Lead Actress in a Series. She has participated in several TV productions such as La Teniente (2012), La Piloto (2017), José José: El príncipe de la canción (2018), and Oscuro deseo (Dark Desire, 2020). On the big screen, she starred in the 2023 film Línea de tiempo. Beyond her artistic career, she is the founder of Casa Felina, a project based in Quintana Roo, Mexico, that promotes respect and love for nature. María Fernanda Yepes continues to be an influential figure in the arts, known for her dedication to both her craft and the environment.
