Hélène and Marie are twin sisters. They meet up with their stepfather, Daniel, to help him empty the family home following the death of their mother. Over the course of a weekend, they will have to rebuild their relationship.
In an abandoned warehouse, a crowd is dancing as one on 145 BPM techno music. Among them is Dustin, a young transgender woman and crew: Felix, Raya and Juan. As the night draws on, collective hysteria morphs into sweet melancholy, and euphoria into yearning for tenderness.
Marie Rosselet-Ruiz is a screenwriter and director. She is a graduate of La Résidence de La Fémis and has directed several short films, including Lothar 1999 and Les Reines du mambo (co-directed with Hélène Rosselet-Ruiz). Authentiks, her first feature film, produced by Take Shelter, was co-written by Vincent Mariette and Virginie Legeay. The project, currently in the final stages of development, is a winner of the Ateliers d’Angers 2023 and various writing grants.
