She graduated in psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and in acting from the Escola de Arte Dramática (EAD-USP), having studied both at the same time, one in the morning and the other in the evening. Marisa has a son named João Antônio, with her ex-husband and businessman Evandro Pereira. As a child, she did classical ballet and was a swimmer at Clube Pinheiros de São Paulo, winning the Paulista Championship twice.
