Follows a man who, after 40 years, comes back to his hometown. There he has nobody. His friends from America are coming after him to get him back and small village in Vojvodina becomes lively as never before.
Radašin and Milašin are brothers but they don't talk with each other. Both of them got letters inviting them on mysterious journey from their village to Belgrade, capital of Serbia. Each one has an amusing path that leads to one place, but their family won't let them fulfill their destiny alone in the end.
The film is picturing the faith of the old Serbian warrior Milisav Janjic, who fought against the German occupation in the Second World War as a member of the "Ravnogorski pokret". The storyline narrates his memories of the past and the war events in the spring of 1941 interwoven with the contemporary moments, the author features the attack of fascist Germany, the April war and the fall of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the misfortune placed upon the Serbian people, loss of freedom, birth of the freedom movement in Serbia and one Serbian soldier, who after 70 years of expatriation in America returns to his homeland.

And just when things seem lost for the two men, Shvaba's mother inherits a house in Baranda - a village near Belgrade no one's ever heard of. As Shvaba and Ekser happily rush to Baranda, hoping to sell the house and solve all their problems, the villagers are equally happy to see them, thinking that two businessmen from Belgrade are finally taking an interest in their village...

Од 1989. до 1995. је водио емисију за децу „С оне стране дуге“, што га је уз Бранка Коцкицу, учинило најпопуларнијим дечјим глумцем и забављачем. Од 1995. је водио емисију „Више од игре“ на РТВ Пинк. Милорад Мандић је играо у бројним српским филмовима. Најзапаженија улога му је у филму Срђана Драгојевића „Лепа села лепо горе“. Био је водитељ квиза „Узми или остави“, који се приказивао на телевизији Б92, а водио је и квиз „Ја волим Србију“, који се приказивао на Првој српској телевизији.
