Biography

Nurlan Alibekovich Saburov was born on December 22, 1991, in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. In his childhood, he was passionate about boxing. After finishing school, he moved to Yekaterinburg, where he enrolled in the Faculty of Physical Education at Ural Federal University. During his studies, he became involved in KVN and started organizing stand-up performances in local bars. In 2013, he participated in the "Open Mic" segment of the *Stand Up* show on TNT, marking the beginning of his professional stand-up career. In 2014, he moved to Moscow with his family and became a resident comedian on TNT’s *Stand Up* show. In 2017, he went on his "IQ" tour across Russia, and in December 2018, he released his first solo stand-up special. In April 2019, he became the host of the popular comedy YouTube show *What Happened Next?* (*Chto bylo dalshe?*) on the LABELCOM channel. In May 2020, *Forbes* included Saburov in its "30 Under 30" list in the "New Media" category, recognizing him as one of the most promising young media personalities. In April 2022, during his U.S. tour, Saburov faced protests and calls to speak out about the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Some of his shows in certain cities were canceled. Nurlan Saburov is married to Diana Saburova, whom he met during his student years in Yekaterinburg. The couple has two children: daughter Madina (born in 2012) and son Tagir (born in 2017). His filmography includes movies such as *Brother or Marriage* (2017) and *Stas* (2022).
