Biography

Poornima Indrajith is an Indian actress, Fashion Designer, television anchor and talk show host who acted in Malayalam and Tamil films. She started her career as a model and then went on to host a music countdown show Pepsi Top Ten on Asianet. Poornima, born on December 13, is an Indian actress and television presenter primarily working in Malayalam cinema. Born into a Tamil family settled in Kerala, she is the daughter of Mohan and Shanthi. Her mother tongue is Tamil, and her father practices law while her mother runs a dance school. Poornima has a younger sister, Priya Mohan, also an actress. Married to actor Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima has two daughters, including singer Prarthana Indrajith. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Sukumaran and Mallika Sukumaran, and her brother-in-law is Prithviraj Sukumaran. Poornima began her career as a model and ventured into acting with the successful Tamil TV serial "Kolangal." Subsequently, she appeared in various Malayalam TV serials. Transitioning to the big screen, she took on supporting roles in films like "Meghamalhar" (2001), "Valliettan" (2000), and "Randam Bhavam" (2001). After a 17-year hiatus, Poornima made a remarkable comeback with "Virus," a film recognized among The Hindu's top 25 Malayalam films of the decade.
