This event consists of a unique ruleset compared to a traditional pro wrestling event, in that every match must end in either a knockout or submission. Other action includes Josh Barnett himself taking on Bad Dude Tito; Mike Santana vs. Homicide in a battle of mentor vs. mentee, the aforementioned Slamovich vs. Jody Threat in a clash of TNA talent; “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Akira; Timothy Thatcher vs. AEW/ROH’s Josh Woods; and Brian Johnson vs. Heddi Karaoui.

The event is taking place on April 23 and April 30, 2024, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The 2024 Royal Rumble is the upcoming 37th annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. It will be the second Royal Rumble to be held at the stadium after the 2021 event, though the first with ticketed fans in attendance. Traditionally, the Royal Rumble match winner receives a world championship match at that year's WrestleMania. For the 2024 event, the winners of both the men's and women's matches receive a choice of which championship to challenge for at WrestleMania XL. The men can choose to challenge for either Raw's World Heavyweight Championship or SmackDown's Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, while the women have the choice between Raw's Women's World Championship and SmackDown's WWE Women's Championship.

Shayna Andrea Baszler is an American professional wrestler a former kickboxer and a mixed martial artist. She is currently signed to WWE, where she performs on the Raw brand. Baszler is a former two-time and longest combined-reigning NXT Women's Champion and a former record-tying three-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. Baszler was trained in mixed martial arts (MMA) by former UFC fighter Josh Barnett and in catch wrestling by Billy Robinson.
