The film follows the journey of Kitty, the imaginary friend to whom Anne Frank dedicated her diary. A fiery teenager, Kitty wakes up in the near future in Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam and embarks on a journey to find Anne, who she believes is still alive, in today's Europe. While the young girl is shocked by the modern world, she also comes across Anne's legacy.

Skye Deva St. John Bennett was born on the 2nd of May 1995 in London, England to American parents. She is a dual British-American citizen. Skye began her professional career at ten years old when she won her first film role playing Steven Seagal's daughter in 'Shadowman'. This led to further film and television roles, including playing Mina in the film adaptation of David Almond's Carnegie Medal and Whitbread Children's Award-winning book, 'Skellig' and as the mysterious, tarot card reading little girl in series two of 'Torchwood'. She also appeared as young Martha in the TV adaptation of Ken Follett's historical novel, 'The Pillars of the Earth'. Skye's theatrical debut at age 13 was as Nadia in Peter Flannery's translation of 'Burnt by the Sun' at the National Theatre, London, in March 2009. She was also cast in Mark Haddon's play 'Polar Bears' at London's Donmar Warehouse in Spring 2010. Skye's voice acting debut occurred in the 2017 fantasy JRPG video game Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and its 2018 prequel DLC expansion, Torna ~ The Golden Country. In both games, she portrayed deuteragonists Pyra and Mythra. Skye started releasing music as Deva St. John in October 2018.
