A small town in present-day Bulgaria. A mother and her two daughters are struggling to survive. Svetla, a widow who lost her job recently is living next to the Bulgarian-Turkish border. There are many cases of refugees in her village due to it's location. One day she meets a refugee from Africa and this changes her life.
Graduated as an actress for drama theatre at the Institute of Drama and Theatre "Krastyo Sarafov" in the class of Professor Nikolai Lyutskanov. Her first appearance in cinema, which brought her widespread popularity, was the lead role in the film directed by Peter Popzlatev "I, the Countess" in 1989.
