Biography

Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Regarded as a pop icon, she has received numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, and multiple Billboard and MTV Video Music Awards. Grande began her career in the Broadway musical 13 (2008) before gaining fame as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon’s Victorious (2010–2013) and Sam & Cat (2013–2014). She signed with Republic Records in 2011 and released her debut album, Yours Truly (2013), which topped the US Billboard 200. She continued to achieve commercial success with subsequent albums, including Dangerous Woman (2016), Sweetener (2018), Thank U, Next (2019), and Positions (2020). In 2024, she released her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, which produced multiple number-one singles. She also returned to acting, playing Glinda in the film adaptation of Broadway's blockbuster Wicked, earning her first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 2025 she made her directorial debut with the musical short film Brighter Days Ahead.
