Biography

Peters was born in Richmond, Virginia and raised by his father John Peters, a United Methodist minister, and Julie Peters, a registered nurse. He has one older brother. He has been married to Susan Burke since 2013. They have one child together, born in 2016.Peters has been featured in many projects produced by Jenji Kohan including Orange is the New Black, Weeds, American Princess and Teenage Bounty Hunters. Peters was a production assistant on the Showtime series Weeds, before being cast for the role of Gayle in 2010. As a comedian, Peters has performed at venues and colleges all over the country. He was host of the long-running stand-up showcase Blam Blam Blam! based in Koreatown, Los Angeles for seven years.
