Yi Lan gets to see Sum Chi, persuading him to give up uncovering the ammunitions. Sum Chi adamantly refuses. Kay Yuk marries Kuan Wah. Because of her influence, he gets promoted to become a General, gaining considerable military power. Kay Chun, having become emotionally attached to Ying Chi, begs her to stay by his side.
