After several attempts, Ibn Battuta convinces his parents to allow him to travel. His journey begins, with his first trip taking him away from his hometown of Tangier to Tlemcen, and there he would meet a judge who was fond of Ibn Battuta’s passion for adventure and exploration. They form a convoy and travel across the desert, with hardships and trials awaiting them along the way.
