Knowing that Ting-feng has lived alone outside the Forbidden City, and knowing that he is beleaquered by his love-affair, Liang-yuk persuades him to go to Qui-chao. However, Ting-feng stubbornly rejects her offer. Hua-hsiang forges Chung-hsien's dead words and orders Tien Cheng-shun to follow his order, but :Cheng-shun rejects the order. Hua-hsiang persuades Chung-cheng to manipulate Ting-feng's love with Lady Tien. He aims at killing Shun-chi. Later, when Ting-feng catches Shun-chi, he discovers that the latter-is still very loyal to Wei Chung- hsien. Thus, .Ting-feng respects Shun-chi and lets him go.
