LOK has become a very popular letter writer. In fact, LOK is a swindler. LARINE thinks that LOK is a versatile guy and respects him a lot. LARINE asks LOK to write a letter to EMPEROR to disclose her bad encounter. LOK thinks that LARINE is mad. LOK proposes LARINE to give him fifty taels and he will bring her to see EMPEROR. LARINE then works very hard and gives LOK her money. LOK spends all money. A restaurant owner, WAI, is finding a worker. LOK betrays LARINE.
