YEE proposes to CHI; she agrees right away. YEE has a sperm test. The result shows that he has a low sperm count, which the doctor believes has to do with his having too much sex. CHI, SUM and LAI-SUM are both angry and disappointed. CHEUNG and HANG overhear YEE and CHI’s conversation. They are displeased that SUM and LAI-SUM did not tell them about the news. HANG faints. Her condition has turned from bad to worse, and she is beginning to lose the will to live, too. LAI-SUM tells SUM to find a mistress on the Mainland so that HANG can have a grandchild. He turns her down resolutely. In order to get pregnant, CHI suggests having one-night stands with other men. YEE will not let her. She moves on to suggest acting as a surrogate mother for LAI-SUM.
