WO, accompanied by his colleague STELLA, goes to buy a pearl bracelet for MAY. Detective Constable LUNG KAM WAI points his gun at a suspect, which frightens STELLA, who is heavily pregnant, half to death. WAI’s supervisor scolds him for pulling his gun out for no reason and advises him to go and see a psychologist. WO gives WAI a treatment, during which WAI reveals that his partner BILL got killed five years ago due to his negligence and that he has suffered a deep sense of guilt ever since then. WO believes WAI has only told part of the truth and KOO YIN, WO’s boss and mentor, agrees with him. WO passes the pearl bracelet to MAY, and as they are about to kiss, WO suddenly holds back.
