Prophet David, known as Dāwud in Arabic, is an important figure in Islamic, Jewish, and Christian traditions. He was chosen by Allah to be king and prophet after a great challenge, where he defeated the giant Goliath, an act of faith and courage. Dāwud was a man of justice and wisdom, and he led his people with fairness. Allah gave him revelations, including the Zabūr (Psalms), and he was an example of piety and gratitude toward Allah, using his voice to sing praises to God.
