TUNG explains to FUNG why she had to kill MAN and how she tried to destroy the evidence, but FUNG just cannot believe it. FUNG wonders if he should call the police and get TUNG arrested. But when he hears that TUNG is ready to leave Hong Kong, he manages to stop her. FUNG’s uncle CHEUNG HON MING fears that the incident will humiliate and shame MAN, which may in turn affect the reputation of the company. For this reason, MING begs FUNG to let TUNG off, but FUNG hesitates. MING takes leave suddenly, which makes SHAN suspect that TUNG has absconded to avoid accusation. SHAN thus blames FUNG for letting TUNG get away. SHAN tries in vain to stop TUNG leaving Hong Kong. For a split second FUNG and KIN turn up, and TUNG has to follow KIN back to the police station.
