FU is about to rape YUET when YUNG and TSAN show up to her rescue. FU is locked up in a jail. A local official, LUK, as told be HUNG, bribes YUNG to release FU. YUNG takes he bribe on the condition that FU must plead guilty by making a sign in lieu of signature. FU is an illiterate; he does not know at all the piece of paper is in fact a confession of his killing of HAK. YUNG sentences FU to death o execute FU for his escaping from the jail.
