YUN loses the hope of survival; he believes that he will die soon despite the doctor proves him healthy. YUN speaks out the mistakes he had made in the battle with Turks and the reason for his failure. YUN decides to dedicate his notes and paintings to his subordinates, HON FU and NGAI BILL; which contains his precious experiences. He asks FU and BILL return to the army then. Apart, KAM picks up the dispose and finds a pair of boot that belonged to YUN. He gives it to SHUI as present without knowing that it will bring him accident. SHUI becomes a cripple because of the boot. KAM carries SHUI to find YUEN and seek for justice. Although YUN agrees to punish FU and BILL with military discipline, SHUI objects and withdraws his appeal surprisingly. With the consent of YUEN, KAM keeps SHUI at home until he recovers.
