LUNG has planned for long to go back to the modern world. He knows that he is going to leave one day and that he should not have given CHANG any false hope. YIK has misunderstood LUNG, however. CHANG learns from books that sulphuric acid is a particular chemical substance and decides to go uphill to look for some. HIN does not know why she has to do this.
